John and Rita Shure, Buckley, Illinois are the proud owners of this fine champion. George handled "Nic" for the one hour brace where he carded 3 excellent finds on quail (one on a dug up wild covey) with a strong forward race on a difficult course in tough weather conditions. His competetion at The Jim Edgar Panther Creek Grounds near Springfield, IL. consisted of 43 other dogs hailing from several states around the midwest Nic was bred by George and Ann Ihrke and trained by Rita and John Shure with some help and guidance from George Ihrke. Green Acres is proud to have been an integral part of Nic's training on this fine hunting preserve, home to several Champions.
