In 1999, with desire to diversify club offerings, a 10 station, manually operated sporting clays course was constructed in our nearby woods and prairie. Club members showed a great interest over the next few years, prompting management to change over to a 12 station, fully automated sporting clays course with two clay launchers per station. A 7 machine 5-Stand was also added.

Throughout the year our courses are continually changed to lend never ending challenge and excitement. We continually strive to set well balanced courses that challenge the most experienced shooters, yet are friendly to the novice.

Since the automation of our course, Green Acres has held many National Sporting Clays Association registered competitions, including the prestigious Illinois State Championship and North Zone Championship. Our 8 to 14 station course is open to the public from March to November, while our 5-stand is open year round.
