1000 Bird Driven Hunt
What is a Driven Hunt?
The driven hunt is a traditional shoot that involves challenging pass shooting at upland game birds from shooting pegs, (designated shooting areas). Typically the game is flushed, or “driven” from the field, over some sort of terrain barrier, into the range of shooters in an adjacent field. The shots are typically challenging providing for a great sporting experience. Retrievers and handlers will be strategically located behind the guns to pick up all lowered birds. A game lunch is served mid-day. After lunch, those who wish to return to the field in pursuit of the remaining birds may do so. Afternoon “walk-up” hunters may utilize their own dogs or hunt with a provided guide.
